CLOFOP – Clodinafop-Propargyl 15% WP is a highly effective selective post-emergence herbicide formulated as a wettable powder (WP). It provides targeted control of annual and perennial grass weeds in broadleaf crops such as wheat and other cereals. CLOFOP helps ensure healthy crop growth by eliminating competition from grassy weeds, thereby enhancing nutrient availability, improving crop vigor, and increasing yield potential.
ACCase Inhibitor: Clodinafop-Propargyl inhibits the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) → blocks fatty acid synthesis in grassy weeds → disrupts cell membrane formation and cell division → results in weed death.
Selective Systemic Action: Absorbed by leaves and roots → translocated throughout the weed plant → effectively controls actively growing grass weeds.
Post-Emergence Application: Works best when applied to young, actively growing weeds.
Selective grass weed control – Highly effective against wild oats, barnyard grass, and other annual and perennial grassy weeds.
Promotes healthy crop growth – Reduces competition for light, water, and nutrients, ensuring vigorous crop development.
Long residual action – Provides effective control throughout the critical early growth stages of the crop.
Easy handling and application – Wettable powder mixes well in water for uniform spray application.
Crop-safe formulation – Specifically designed for wheat and cereal crops when used as recommended.
Resistance management solution – Unique mode of action helps delay the development of weed resistance.
Crops: Wheat and other cereals.
Dosage: 300–500 grams per hectare in 200–300 liters of water.
Timing: Apply post-emergence at 2–3 leaf stage of weeds (20–30 days after crop emergence).
Method of Application: Uniform foliar spray covering the entire weed canopy.
Precautions:
Use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Apply under favorable weather conditions (cool and calm).
Do not exceed the recommended dose to avoid crop damage.
