NICATARA+ – Thiamethoxam 30% FS is a highly effective, systemic insecticide formulated as a flowable concentrate for seed treatment (FS). It belongs to the neonicotinoid group and is designed to provide early-stage protection against a wide range of sucking and soil-borne insect pests in crops such as cereals, pulses, vegetables, and oilseeds. NICATARA+ ensures healthy crop establishment by protecting seeds and seedlings from early pest damage, leading to vigorous plant growth and higher yields.
Neonicotinoid Action: Binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the insect’s central nervous system → overstimulation of nerves → paralysis and death of the pest.
Systemic Protection: Absorbed by the seed and translocated to roots and shoots → protects emerging seedlings and young plants.
Preventive Action: Protects plants from soil and early-season insect pests before symptoms appear.
Wide-spectrum protection – Controls aphids, whiteflies, thrips, jassids, leafhoppers, and other soil/early-stage sucking insect pests.
Systemic seed treatment – Ensures uniform protection from the earliest stages of plant development.
Improves seedling vigor and establishment – Reduces early damage and promotes strong plant growth.
Long residual protection – Safeguards seedlings for 20–30 days after sowing.
Crop safety – Suitable for a wide variety of crops when used as recommended.
Resistance management tool – Unique mode of action reduces the risk of resistance.
Crops: Paddy, wheat, maize, pulses, vegetables, and oilseeds.
Dosage: 400–600 ml per 100 kg of seed, depending on crop type and pest pressure.
Timing: Apply as a seed treatment before sowing.
Method of Application: Uniformly treat seeds by coating using proper seed treatment equipment.
Precautions:
Ensure proper mixing for uniform coating.
Use protective equipment during handling.
Do not exceed recommended dosage to avoid phytotoxicity or germination issues.
