Product Description

NICHIFIT+ – Pretilachlor 37% W/W EW is a highly effective pre-emergence herbicide formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate (EW). It provides strong and broad-spectrum control of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in paddy (rice) cultivation. NICHIFIT+ prevents weed competition during the early stages of crop growth by inhibiting weed germination and development, promoting healthy crop establishment, better plant vigor, and higher yields.

Mode of Action

  • Inhibits Lipid and Protein Synthesis: Pretilachlor interferes with the biosynthesis of lipids and proteins in weeds → prevents cell division and elongation → inhibits seedling growth.

  • Soil Residual Effect: Applied pre-emergence → remains active in the soil → controls weed seed germination and early growth stages.

  • Selective Action: Controls weeds effectively while remaining safe for rice crop when applied as recommended.

Benefits

  • Broad-spectrum pre-emergence weed control – Controls key weeds such as barnyard grass, frogbit, sedges, and other annual grasses and broadleaf weeds.

  • Promotes healthy crop establishment – Reduces weed competition for nutrients, light, and water, leading to vigorous crop growth.

  • Long residual protection – Provides effective weed control for up to 30–45 days after application.

  • Easy application & mixing – Emulsifiable concentrate formulation allows easy mixing with water and uniform spray.

  • Crop-safe formulation – Designed specifically for rice fields when used as recommended.

  • Improves crop yield and quality – Ensures a weed-free crop environment, supporting higher productivity.

Recommendations

  • Crops: Paddy (Rice).

  • Dosage: 1.0–1.5 liters per hectare in 200–300 liters of water.

  • Timing: Apply pre-emergence immediately after transplanting or before weed emergence.

  • Method of Application: Uniform foliar and soil spray covering the entire field.

  • Precautions:

    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) during application.

    • Avoid overdose to prevent crop phytotoxicity.

    • Do not apply in standing water.
