NICHIGOLD – Bispyribac Sodium 10% SC is a highly effective selective post-emergence herbicide formulated as a soluble concentrate (SC). It provides targeted control of a broad spectrum of grassy and some broadleaf weeds in paddy (rice) fields. NICHIGOLD helps maintain a weed-free crop environment during critical early stages of rice growth, promoting healthy plant development, efficient nutrient uptake, and higher yield potential.
ALS (Acetolactate Synthase) Inhibitor: Bispyribac Sodium inhibits the acetolactate synthase enzyme in weeds → prevents synthesis of essential branched-chain amino acids → stops cell division and weed growth → leads to weed death.
Systemic Post-Emergence Activity: Absorbed through leaves and roots → translocated throughout the weed → controls actively growing weeds effectively.
Selective Action: Targets grassy weeds and select broadleaf weeds while being safe for the rice crop when used as recommended.
Selective post-emergence weed control – Controls key weeds like barnyard grass, Echinochloa, and broadleaf weeds in paddy.
Promotes healthy crop establishment – Reduces weed competition for nutrients, light, and water.
Long residual action – Provides effective weed control for up to 30–45 days.
Easy application and mixing – Soluble concentrate mixes easily in water and sprays uniformly.
Crop-safe formulation – Specifically designed for paddy fields when applied as recommended.
Resistance management solution – Unique mode of action helps delay development of weed resistance.
Crop: Paddy (Rice).
Dosage: 300–500 ml per hectare in 200–300 liters of water.
Timing: Apply post-emergence at 2–3 leaf stage of weeds (15–30 days after transplanting).
Method of Application: Uniform foliar spray covering the entire field and weed canopy.
Precautions:
Use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Avoid application during high temperatures or rainfall.
Do not exceed recommended dose to prevent crop phytotoxicity.
