  • Protects Seed & Young Plants from Fungal Infection

  • Promotes Uniform & Healthy Germination

Product Description

NICXAL – Tebuconazole 2% DS is an advanced systemic fungicide formulated as a dry seed treatment (DS). It provides effective preventive and curative control of seed-borne and soil-borne fungal diseases in various crops, ensuring healthy seed germination, robust seedling establishment, and vigorous early plant growth. NICXAL protects against early-stage diseases such as seed rot, damping-off, and seedling blight, contributing to higher yield potential.

Mode of Action

  • Demethylation Inhibitor (DMI): Tebuconazole inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol → disrupts fungal cell membrane synthesis → prevents spore germination, mycelial growth, and fungal infection of the seed.

  • Systemic Activity: Absorbed by the seed and seedling → provides internal protection against soil-borne and seed-borne pathogens → protects young plants during critical early growth stages.

  • Preventive Treatment: Acts before infection occurs, creating a protective barrier around the seed and seedling.

Benefits

  • Effective seed and soil disease control – Controls seed rot, damping-off, seedling blight, and other fungal diseases.

  • Promotes healthy seed germination – Reduces seed mortality and improves seedling vigor.

  • Systemic protection – Protects the developing plant from fungal infection in soil.

  • Improves crop establishment and uniformity – Ensures strong and uniform seedling emergence for better crop performance.

  • Compatible with integrated crop management practices – Can be used with fertilizers and other seed treatments.

  • Easy application – Simple seed coating process before sowing.

Recommendations

  • Crops: Wheat, rice, maize, vegetables, and plantation crops.

  • Dosage: 2–3 grams per kg of seeds.

  • Timing: Apply as a seed treatment before sowing.

  • Method of Application: Mix uniformly with seeds using appropriate seed treatment equipment or manual mixing.

  • Precautions:

    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) during handling.
