NIGEN GR – Chlorantraniliprole 0.4% W/W GR is a highly effective systemic insecticide formulated as a granular product (GR). It provides powerful control of a broad spectrum of chewing insect pests in important crops such as rice, vegetables, fruits, and cereals. NIGEN GR offers long-lasting protection by controlling pests at the soil and plant surface level, ensuring strong plant establishment, reduced pest damage, and improved crop yield and quality.
Ryanodine Receptor Modulator: Chlorantraniliprole activates ryanodine receptors in insect muscle cells → uncontrolled release of calcium ions → sustained muscle contraction → paralysis and death of insect pests.
Systemic and Contact Activity: Absorbed by plant roots and translocated within the plant → protects both existing and new plant tissues.
Long Residual Control: Provides extended protection against multiple pest generations.
Broad-spectrum control – Highly effective against stem borers, armyworms, leaf folders, cutworms, and other chewing insect pests.
Systemic and contact protection – Moves within the plant to protect new growth and vulnerable tissues.
Long residual action – Provides effective pest control for up to 20–30 days after application.
Promotes strong crop establishment – Reduces early-stage pest damage, ensuring healthy growth and higher yields.
Safe for crops – Suitable for a wide range of crops when used as recommended.
Resistance management solution – Novel mode of action helps delay resistance development in pests.
Crops: Rice, vegetables, fruits, cereals, and other commercial crops.
Dosage: 10–15 kg per hectare applied uniformly in the soil before transplanting or sowing.
