Product Description

NIGEN SC – Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% W/W SC is a highly effective systemic insecticide formulated as a suspension concentrate (SC). It offers broad-spectrum control of major chewing insect pests in crops such as rice, vegetables, fruits, cotton, and cereals. NIGEN SC provides rapid knockdown and long-lasting residual protection by acting on the insect’s muscle receptors, ensuring healthy crop growth, high yield, and strong resistance management.

Mode of Action

  • Ryanodine Receptor Modulator: Chlorantraniliprole selectively activates ryanodine receptors in insect muscle cells → uncontrolled release of calcium ions → sustained muscle contraction → paralysis and death of the pest.

  • Systemic & Contact Activity: Rapidly absorbed and translocated within the plant → protects existing tissues and new growth.

  • Long Residual Protection: Controls multiple pest generations with a single application.

Benefits

  • Broad-spectrum pest control – Effective against stem borers, leaf folders, armyworms, cutworms, and other chewing insect pests.

  • Systemic action for extended protection – Moves through plant tissues to protect new growth and vulnerable areas.

  • Fast knockdown with long-lasting residual effect – Immediate reduction in pest population and protection for up to 20–30 days.

  • Improves crop health & yield – Reduces pest damage, promotes vigorous plant growth, and supports higher yields.

  • Crop-safe formulation – Suitable for a wide range of crops when applied as recommended.

  • Resistance management solution – Unique mode of action helps delay resistance development.

Recommendations

  • Crops: Rice, vegetables, fruits, cotton, pulses, and cereals.

  • Dosage: 150–300 ml per acre in 150–200 liters of water depending on crop type and pest pressure.

  • Timing: Apply at the first sign of pest infestation or preventively during high pest pressure periods.

  • Method of Application: Uniform foliar spray covering the entire crop canopy.

  • Precautions:

    • Avoid application in windy or rainy conditions.
