NIKOR – Metribuzin 70% WP is a highly effective selective pre- and post-emergence herbicide formulated as a wettable powder (WP). It provides broad-spectrum control of grassy and broadleaf weeds in crops such as potato, tomato, sugarcane, and other vegetables. NIKOR helps in maintaining a weed-free environment during critical crop growth stages, promoting healthy crop establishment, reducing competition, and improving overall crop yield and quality.
Photosystem II Inhibitor: Metribuzin inhibits photosynthesis by binding to the D1 protein in the photosystem II complex → disrupts electron transport → prevents energy production in weed cells → leads to weed death.
Soil Residual & Foliar Action: Acts both as a pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicide → controls weeds from soil and foliage.
Selective Action: Targets weeds while being safe for recommended crops when used as advised.
Broad-spectrum weed control – Controls important weeds such as pigweed, amaranth, wild mustard, and various grass weeds.
Dual action – pre- and post-emergence – Provides flexibility in application timing for efficient weed management.
Promotes healthy crop growth – Reduces competition for water, nutrients, and light, supporting vigorous crop development.
Long residual protection – Provides weed control for up to 30–40 days after application.
Easy application & handling – Wettable powder formulation ensures uniform dispersion in water for effective spray.
Crop-safe formulation – Designed specifically for potato, tomato, sugarcane, and other recommended crops.
Crops: Potato, Tomato, Sugarcane, Other vegetables.
Dosage: 600–800 grams per hectare in 300–400 liters of water.
Timing: Apply pre-emergence just after planting or post-emergence when weeds are young (2–3 leaf stage).
Method of Application: Uniform foliar and soil spray covering the entire crop and field area.
Precautions:
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Avoid overdose to prevent crop phytotoxicity.
Apply under favorable weather conditions (cool and calm).
