NIQUAT – Paraquat Dichloride 24% SL is a fast-acting non-selective contact herbicide formulated as a soluble liquid (SL). It provides rapid and effective control of a wide range of annual and perennial weeds in agricultural fields, plantations, orchards, and non-crop areas. NIQUAT works by destroying green plant tissues on contact, ensuring quick weed desiccation and facilitating easier field preparation for the next crop cycle.
Photosystem I Inhibitor: Paraquat Dichloride interferes with photosynthesis by accepting electrons from photosystem I → generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) → causes rapid cell membrane destruction and plant tissue death.
Contact Action: Rapidly absorbed by green tissues → acts only where applied → does not translocate within the plant.
